[STEAM] Gas giants always "missing colonization technology" (FIDSI decrease)

1. Bug description:

Settled gas giants always receive the decrease to FIDSI from missing colonization technology, even with "Extreme Atmospherics" researched. Usually they get -50% FIDSI, but with the "Hardship Ready" law active they get -100% FIDSI. This decrease affects only the FIDSI from the planet itself (including modifiers from deposits and probably anomalies), not any additional yields from improvements such as "Interplanetary Transport Network". It is still possible to colonize them as usual.


2. Steps to reproduce:

  1. Research "Extreme Atmospherics"
  2. Colonize a gas giant (either in a new system or one you already control, doesn't seem to matter)
  3. Place a pop on the gas giant and see that the actual FIDSI produced doesn't line up with expectations

3. Reproducibility:

4/5 - 5/5; haven't tested every empire, but occurs in all my systems with colonized gas giants as both United Empire and Lumeris


4. Expected behavior:

Gas planets should give their listed FIDSI yields when "Extreme Atmospherics" is researched


5. Version:

V1.5.56 S5 GOLD-Public; the patchpreview beta on steam.

The bug doesn't appear in the latest stable release.

Hi, for fixing only, found the issue: Seems the default status for planets are -50% FIDSI, you earn default 0% penalty with the colonize X planet type. Gas planets are missing this element.


In "Public\Simulation\SimulationDescriptors[TechnologyEconomyAndTrade].xml", should look like this:


    <SimulationDescriptor Name="TechnologyColonizationGasPlanet"                Type="Technology" IsSerializable="false">

        <Modifier TargetProperty="PlanetInitialFIDSPenalty"        Operation="Force"     Value="0"    Path="../ClassEmpire/ClassColonizedStarSystem/PlanetGameplayTypeGas" TooltipHidden="true"/>    

    </SimulationDescriptor>
