I had the academy fleet. I lost a couple ships, so I added a couple of my own. Then I found I couldn't remove them, and when the fleet disappeared because the role ended, it took my ships with them.

The fleet is marked as "loaned from the academy", it's a bug that you're even able to manipulate the ships in the fleet at all
