There's a bug I also know of, if you dismiss into the hangar, then you cannot return it to orbit.

But the bastion is supposed to not let you merge it with other fleets, as is an academy fleet and these cannot be merged. Seems you bypass this restriction adding the bastion with a fleet hero only (is somehow allowed), then the rest of the fleet? Is a minor exploit IMHO.
