I saw there was a new patch today. However, this bug still persists.

Sure, it wasn't mentioned to be fixed, yet.

For me, the systems became colonizable once I finished the quest, but there were others that remained uncolonizable for the rest of the game and I suspect it's because the AI also had the same quest and was unable to complete it as all they seemed to do was send a colonizer to wait on one of the systems.

Yes, we're aware of the issue. Unfortunately, we did not manage to implement a fix in time for yesterday's patch. The fix for this should be included in the upcoming patch with some Awakening fixes.

Reproduced this bug as the Nakalim on the quest a New Hoce. Two systems revealed by quests without starlanes are shown as being colonizable, but when a colony ship enters the system all colonizable planets become "Unavailable"

If I understand the situation correctly, you could also choose to just deactivate the Dark Matters DLC for the time being. But perhaps you are particularly wanting to play because of the new content.

Same issue here, playing as Riftborn.

Don't get your hopes up. ES2 is abandoned. They just didn't say it was.

Thumbs down on Steam after 700 hours.

I'd also like to know if this bug is going to get patched?

I'd love to see a fix for this too.

In my current game, I'm playing as Vaulters and have never even had this quest you people talk about. Several systems are uncolonizable despite me having all the required techs,

It's a shame since this particular system has 5 planets, including a huge mediterranean one and 4 bluecap lux goods.

Who did say it's only you receiving the quest? AI does get quests, too.
