I had the exact same problem. I just assumed that the devs wanted you to have antimatter before attempting to build a ship that size.

The Vodyani carrier hull costs 5 each of Adamantian and Antimatter. I would guess the other factions have similar material costs on their final hulls.

I think its a bug since its not the hull, its a module slot that increases the cost.

Lumaris ships doesn't cost antimatter or anything else if you don't use a module of that material :/ mb is a bug.

Also related - One of the slots on each of the upgraded light ships have a single module slot that generates a resource cost when used (I haven't checked for the larger ships yet.) This isn't noted in the tooltip for the slot, however, and must be figured out through trial and error. If this is indeed intended behavior, then the requirement does need to be noted somewhere.

Hi all,


This is a feedback bug. Some advanced ship slots cause an additional cost on the ship when outfitted with a module. There was an incorrect data when we made the build, because it should show a symbol on the slot or in the tooltip.


This will be fixed for the next build.
