System improvement disappeared between turns


While playing as Lumeris My Trade Company HQ disappeared between turns. The planet was not invaded, not attacked, not lost. All I did that turn was continue planned ship movement. Some quests completed at the start of that turn. See screenshot below showing 0/1 HQ and 1/0 subsidiaries. 


I am unable to reproduce the bug consistently, have loaded the previous autosave and ended turn but the improvement did not disappear.


I have attached the two autosaves, before and after, in case the saves shed some light.

That's really odd, when I load your save at turn 80, the Trade Company HQ is indeed gone, but when I load your save at turn 79 and pass a turn, everything works as expected and the HQ is still present at turn 80...

I'll have a word with jhell and see if we can identify the root of the problem.

Hi adelahaye thanks for passing this on. I have two more saves to help. 


As part of the above I tried reloading the 79 autosave and passing turns but I was not able to reproduce the issue so I just kept one save. Took a break and came back, next turn again, bam! Trade Company HQ is gone. 


What jumps out is that both times the Cravers were eliminated in the same turn as my HQ went poof. In the files up in OP, the notification that Cravers got eliminated popped up on turn 80. After I reloaded Cravers were still alive on turn 80 and HQ was still there, but turn 81 Cravers and HQ are both gone.


Now Cravers, I defeated them about 5-10 turns prior to these saves. I thought I took all their planets -- Xitterbia, Ukdah, and Leran systems -- but their colours did not disappear and I could not be bothered searching for a lost colony. Could my improvement issue be related to something with Cravers not being killed off properly? I saw another post where you said you're aware of an issue where the influence does not disappear after an empire gets destroyed, and I have seen the issue a few times before too where an AI seems like they're alive after losing the last system.

EDIT: In fact it IS the Cravers extinction that causes the improvement to disappear. I reloaded again (the turn 80 save attached) and passed turn, bam Trade HQ disappeared. So I did it again and this time my screen was centered on Ukdah system where the trade HQ is. It was there at the start of the turn but disappeared as soon as the Cravers influence vanished and the notification of their destruction popped in. Ukdah was a minor civ planet which was conquered by the Cravers and then by me.
