Most of my games end at some point with the AI hanging the game when trying to choose their battle strategy.  You can't proceed, you can't go back and old saves bring about the same problems a turn or two later.  You literally have to crtl-alt-del out of a non-responsive game.  When restarting the game after this the "master audio" is also turned off for whatever reason.

Either side can initiate battle but the ready/fight button in the bottom right hand corner of the strategy screen has the AI hourglass turning perpetually.  All other play is impossible as it's locked behind the strategy screen.  In essence, it's game breaking.  This bug has been around since EA release.  Had my fingers crossed that it would be fixed with the latest version seeing it is literally a game ending experience which makes everything else irrelevant.  Good luck.
