Summary / Title

Vodyani population is displayed incorrectly on galaxy view and system view

Description

Vodyani ark give population to each planet in system, so in system with 4 habbitable planet with one vodyani population user get 4 population. However when you increase vodyani population by 1 user would have 8 population slot filled, but then information screen is displaying you got 2/x population, (where x is total posible population in system).

This is inconsistent,

Step to reproduce

1. Start new game with vodyani and set random homeworld start.

2. Repeat step 1 to the moment you got additional habbitable planet in system

3. Increase 1 population by spending 500 vodyani energy points

Reproducibility

5/5

Expected Behavior

Vodyani population should not be added to each planet in system. And increasing population by 1 should add 1 population only to one planet

Version

0.3.2 S2 ALPHA-Public

This is, in fact, how Vodyani is supposed to work. 1 population on an Ark = 1 population for every colonizable planet in the system it's anchored to. That's why it's initially capped at 3 slots per planet until you upgrade the base type.

Once I've started with 1 habitable planet, first technology got me 3 planets more in a original system - after that first thing I've investigated is hot to colonize all types of planets -> IMHO it breaks the balance.

For sure - that's a good strategy with Vodyani - to research planet technologies that will immediately open up max population based on the ark(s) you have anchored. There are other disadvantages to Vodyani that balance against the population benefit. For example: when you conquer an enemy system you don't get that enemy population like other factions do. However, I think that's a good conversation to have about balance, but a very different discussion than reporting a bug since it's intentional.
