Hey Amplitude! Love your games! Love your dev style and team. Love that you went and did an AngryJoe interview (would love to see another with a full release of the game which I am sure he will love.) Take my money. Don't turn into EA! =)

Summary / Title

1. Empire and hero portraits appear missing.

2. Strange large orbs around planets as activity.

3. Game unresponsive when exiting to desktop from starting menu. (New Game, Load, etc).

Description

The holograms in the empire negotiation screen are missing.

The hero/party portraits in the senate screen are missing.

Hero portraits are missing when selecting a hero in the hero screen.

Empire portraits are missing when selecting an empire in new game.

Large orbs around planets causing some strange lighting on the planetside.

The game is unresponsive causing a CTRL + ALT + DEL to close the program when exitting the game from the main menu.

Steps to Reproduce

Launch the game as per normal.

Start a new game or load an existing game.

Reproducibility

Expected Behavior

Portraits should be visible.

Planet activity shouldn't cause lighting issues.

Exitting to windows shouldn't require CTRL + ALT + DEL

I'm having this same exact issue. 

I´m having the same issue now, Portraits for Empire are missing (only empire it seems)
already tried verifying integrity with Steam client and re-installing the game... portraits are still missing

Now that I'm checking some other images are also not working (check the lower left corner)

Has anyone figured out a solution to this?

This one reported here was fixed years ago. Are you mac user perhaps and/or do you have a screenshot from your issue?

a) Right click on Endless Space 2 in Steam game list
b) choose Properties
c) click launch options and enter command -compat
d) start game

Feedback appreciated.

What I see it described do it other games is force the game to use methods for things that are more generally compatible with all computers. Like using OpenGL instead of DirectX for instance.
