I have tried in multiple games now to complete the sophon quest chain. The quest says I need to research 5 new science technologies. It also says the longer it takes the harder it is to get or something. Anyway, I am leading in technology by alot. I have 6k research and the next person has 1k. I have researched more than 5  new science technologies and nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong or is it a glitch or issue?
