The images for certain heros (I've only tested Horatio and Riftborn) and events do not show up.  For example, in the start of a Riftborn match, there is a pop-up that basically introduces the faction leader and a hero.  But while the text, UI, and border of the pop-ups are visible, the art is not, leaving it transparent.  I can see the map clearly behind it.  This bug also happens on the diplo screen, as the holograms of the faction leaders do not appear, but the faction interaction diplo screen works fine.  If I assign a hero a position, I can see the artwork in the correct spot, but if I open up the academy, the art is gone and transparent.  Telling Steam do very files has been tried twice, it found missing files twice, but the problem has still not been rectified.

They're probably well aware of this issue and everyone's posts but some bugs are easier to fix than others. I think this bug is due to compatibility of differing graphics cards.

For instance, my laptop has a Radeon HD 8870M but I've been having trouble getting the correct drivers installed. It keeps installing the drivers for a P9 280 or something of that nature and when I check dxdiag.exe it says the display device is the built-in Intel graphics card.


I'm going to try to re-install the correct drivers and I will post if it works and fixes the graphics problem in Endless Space 2.

I tried to run AMD's install cleaner and it ended up making my computer BSoD and corrupting Windows 10. After a fresh reformatting and install of Windows 10 my graphics card was correctly showing under dxdiag.exe as a Radeon HD 8800M.


The display issues with Endless Space 2 have been fixed and I can confirm that this problem has been resolved for me. Hope that helps anyone as it's most likely a driver/graphics card issue.
