First game as cravers and well, it ain't fun. After invading enemy capital for a few turns, I have finally depleted his ground forces. Last invasion however bring the game down. 

Try to resolve ground invasion popup window, for me it leads to crash every time.

Also initial craver quest - capture or destroy craver pirate ship cannot be resolved via capture.
