Description

Bought the game earlier this work and played a good 2 hours with no issues and have come back to it yesterday and now it holds on the title splash. Basically you open the game, it will play the amplitude intro sequence, get to the Endless Space 2 Splash and the bar at the bottom will load until full. Then it will play the menu music and stay on that screen with no function other than the mouse moving. Can't find anything that's worked so far and I've tried: 

• Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
• Updating Graphics card (Radeon R9 270x | Software = 17.4.4)
• Installing older updates for Graphics Card (17.2.2)
• Update Direct X (Currently on 12)
• Verifying Files on Steam (It keeps saying there is 1 that is bad and the second time fixes this and then as soon as I start the game it goes back to 1 bad file, not sure what to do)
• Running the AMD Beta Fix (Not currently available for me but didn't work when it was)
• Running the Game and Steam in Administrator mode
• Running it in compatibility mode (All available ones)
• Taken App out of Read only mode
• Turned off Steam Overlays

Any help would be appreciated as I have no clue what to do.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Start game from Steam

2. Intro video plays and then moves to splash screen.

3. Splash screen loads fully and then stays on Endless Space 2 screen w/ music in the background and mouse functioning.

I had it working as soon as I bought it just over a week ago.
