Point Defenses

Yeah so I know that the weapons systems on ships will be visible in ES2, however I'd like to make sure that point defenses are visible as well. On that note I think that point defenses against fighters should also be used as the ship's defenses against missiles. I dunno it just makes sense to me.

For now, we consider using the Kinetics as the Point Defenses (instead of having two types of module); and yes they will target both fighters / bombers and Missile. If none of that threatens the fleet, they will target normal ships.

This is the kind of change I like to hear about. If weapon systems have secondary purposes, like kinetics serving as flak cannons, or missiles being capable of delivering the bomb-type warheads on the ship during invasions, the decisions become a lot more interesting.





And of course, thinking of kinetic weapons made me imagine United Empire ships bristling with long barrels complete with muzzle breaks, their feared 88cm Flak...
