So what if the Broken Lords come back to ES2 as a playable faction?



I love their Dust-reliant mechanics and their expansionist strategy.





Thou they do deserve a visual overhaul to fit the Sci-fi themes of ES2.





I think Amplitude should make them look like the Space Marines from Warhammer 40k:



(Can you just imagine if the BL's came knocking on your door and ask if they can suck your Dust if they look like this?)

Three different Warhammer 40000 pictures, and not a single one of the Thousand Sons, which are literally dust inside their armor?



If they do put Broken Lords in ES2, I'd actually prefer they keep some of their medieval aesthetic. Otherwise, they might lose much of their "honor versus hunger" theme.

They're also the single coolest example of the Chaos Marines.



Agreed about the aesthetics too.



To the OP: For what it's worth, I'm not sure Amplitude would want to get too close to Space Marines aesthetics anyways, what with Games Workshop being as sue-happy as they are. I'm not sure what the mod-support will be like this time around (FINGERS CROSSED, AMPLITUDE *WINK WINK*), but I know in the previous Endless Space I got all their imagery, many heroes and even some of their logos as icons without issue. Unless something is fundamentally different, can't imagine it not being possible this time around.
