Hi,

In this video: http://www.polygon.com/2016/9/8/12837744/watch-10-minutes-of-endless-space-2-gameplay, aprox at min 03:00 - 03:05 appears a screen with victory conditions:

  • One military
  • One Fame victory
  • 4 disabled conditions

Any clue on them?

Just catch my attention:

  • 3 icons into hexes in two active sections, will it means victories had been changed into something that requires multiple conditions at same time, and not just "do nothing" like previous ES1 dplomatic victory?
  • On the base of every triangle appears an icon, which correlates to the victory (at least in the two active), they seem to be:
    • Military
    • Economy
    • Science
    • Diplomatic
    • The fame one with a graphic, don't know what means.
    • Unknown.

Can't see any other thing, just if you want to start speculating, the way will be short in time, but seem very large.

You are probably right about multiple conditions, but it might be enough to meet at least one criteria to win said condition instead of all, like, you can win military victory by elimination or expansion, or by building extremely big fleet.

Fame is probably some some sort of quest victory, and the one with pyramid is likely wonder victory.

Upd: upon second examination, it looks like fame victory is tied to: population size, colonized systems count and number of successfully completed (main?) quests. Military victory is tied to number of command points, (manpower?), and I'm not sure what's that third icon with crossed rocket means (number of enemies left alive? number of defeated fleets?). Scientific victory tied to number of discovered techs, and science (per turn production? total accumulation?). All other victories are tied to simply one resource accumulation so far, they are probably not implemented yet.

Good ideas.

For science, as it says disable, I suspected that we won't be able to achieve it (like other disable) in early access, or at least since the beginning, so didn't look at it. What you says seems reasonable, as it also has 3 items.

The pyramid, now I see has an industry icon into its hexe, so probably you're right, or at least is in the way you suggested. In the same way, also noticed the econ icon has an hexe with dust icon and the diplomacy one with influence icon.

I hope it doesn't mean merely collecting a resource. I'll like things more interesting, at least in lore level. People made lots of good suggestions in forums from previous Amplitude games, like being in an alliance from a number of turns and with more than one faction for diplomatic victory. Sure they will surprise us in some of them.

When the game hits Early Access, the only victory type enabled will be a Score victory. Other victory types will be implemented as we go.

And that will be the first victory type I am going to switch off after release.  You can't tease us in which order you will unlock the victory types, can you?

Scratch my last, the game will also feature elimination victory (total elimination of all opponents).

Thanks for clarification.

I hope domination or expansions don't disappear, or at least there's something that avoids you looking for a little outpost in the edge of the galaxy and out of any line/wormhole.

Of course, we all expected this one
