How it will work ? 

for example food will be planet and improvement while industry will be planet and population. Will population increase more the industry than food, and it will have more improvements for food ?

Trade, pop bonuses, improvements, loot, event bonuses, heroes, etc.

Yes i know that. but that was true in endless legend. What will be diferent in endless space 2 ?
