Bug Reporting during Early Access

Hi, this question has probably already been asked, or parameters and protocol will probably be released along with the game on Thursday, but I feel the need to ask anyway: Where should we send bug information, and what should it include?


-Written description of issue (Preferred language? I only know English, but that might be helpful to answer for others.)
-Inclusion of save game
-??? Anything else?


I ask because I foresee both the forums on here as well as Steam getting bogged down with bug reports. Granted, they make for some pretty funny stories, but I also know that's not the most helpful form of feedback for you devs. I look forward to a response. When I get one I'll edit it onto the top of this post in a quote so others who view the forum with the same kinds of questions will be able to quickly see what to do.

Tech support sub forum can be found within the Help forum: https://www.games2gether.com/endless-space-2/forum/73-tech-support It's the same place where strategy guides are.


If bug reports are similar to how they were in the past, you'll need:

  • Your save file
  • Description written in English (French is probably ok too)
  • Version of the game you played
  • Output_log.txt - you can probably find it in [Steaminstalldir]\Steamapps\common\Endless Space 2\EndlessSpace2_Data\output_log.txt
  • Diagnostics.html - you can probably find it in [Documentsdir]\Endless Space 2\Temporary Files\Diagnostics*.html
  • Registry.xml - you can probably find it in [Documentsdir]\Endless Space 2\Users\[yourSteamID]\Registry.xml

Alright cool, thanks for that. I hope others see this thread, because if we are to take full advantage of EA then we'll have to bugbomb this game XD
