I just bought the game, and the listed Steam price for me was around PHP929, which would be around 19USD (For the Digital Deluxe edition).

Is this normal, or a bug in the pricing?

Price differs from region to region. It's standard practice since the cost of publishing is different in every country. And also because people in different countries with different economies value software differently.

You got the good end of the deal. Meanwhile people in the EU region (so not only the rich countries but also the less prosperous ones) have to pay more than people in the USA which for many EU countries is ever so slightly ridiculous. Though it's not amplitude's fault but steam's - for removing the EU2 region

I see. It wouldn't be the first time (Starcraft and certain Steam games were also cheaper when they released digitally) but I wanted to check, since I was afraid I might be penalized for abusing a bug or something. :(

Steam uses regional pricing. In the model they use, a dev will set a standard price in USD. From there the system auto-converts the price to all Steam supported currencies. This is NOT based on a pure currency conversion. but rather takes into account the cost of living, cost of other games of the similar price, etc and set the price accordingly.

The Phillipines is considered one of their lower cost regions. As such the cost of games is cheaper there. However Steam also prohibits the trading and gifting of games from low cost region to prevent grey market trading of games.

Thanks for this. :D

I never knew this page / service existed.

Rather than a dev wondering "wow how much should I price my game in the 25 diferent currencies steam supports", they can set a standard price in USD they feel is fair, then Steam will apply their own 'conversion' so the price is appropriate in each region. Any more than I have no idea waht a good price would be in PHP, you would have no idea what that price woudl be in say Indian Rupees or Brazilian Riels. Steam has already done the research so that, in general, people in each region gets a fair and appropriately priced game.
