Hi guys,


Just also wanted to contribute a few things that I could not figure out by myself or that I hope will help smooth out some kinks/improve the gameplay overall (I only played 2 games so far and only to turn 70ish and 30ish as I was having a very detailed look at mechanics etc..). I have to say it does feel VERY smooth already given it's an Alpha build!


Happiness:

1: I colonized a Hot jungle with transvine: The only information when I hoover over the planet is: - 5 from planet (hot)

After colonizing I get:  +35 Happiness form planet... I assume transivne ON planet IN System gives +40 by itself?


If so: There should be a tooltip on this somewhere…


2: Tooltip in Economy overview for ecstatic reads: +50% food, +50% on influence – I also get +50% gold though – so also something that should be in the tooltip!?



Weapon upgrades:


3: Using Sophons policy I unlocked focused plasma (Era 2 weapons + defense) very early – But I found out I cannot equip my scout class with any advanced weapons. My first "combat" ships can be equipped with different/higher weapons - again, I did not find any informaiton on this in the ship-builder as the scout class appears to have a regular weapon module slot...



4: Both Era 2 weapon techs give new shields that protect from energy weapons if I am not mistaken – am I missing something or is there no improved plating unless progressing to Era 2? Wouldn't it make more sense for 1 tier 2 weapon tech to give plating and the other energy protection?

5: I unlocked Neural Robotics before the pacifists win the vote and abolish the blue skies policy – afterwards I cannot activate system improvents anymore as it tells me “missing technology neural robotics”… (I can still build - and finish - predictice robotics though... - the building unlock that goes with the tech)


Gameconepts:

6. Colonization:

I am just wondering: Why can I not colonize another planet in a system where 1 planet is colonized already?? If there are 5 planets and 1 race gets there early, the whole system is gone (basically only leaving war as an option as far as I can see at the moment – except extending your sphere of influence maybe, which is not really going to happen…)


7. Polical elections:

Very confusing so far! In my first game as the Sophons I get 1 turn before the election a pre-poll giving 65% scientists ahead of pacifists - the little info bar on lower left in Senate overview showed scientists well ahead too – next turn vote, MASSIVE win for pacifists (nothing happened in-between those turns…) – I understand polls can be off etc and I like a little unpredictability, but this landslide victory by the minor party makes no sense to me whatsoever…
