Hi Guys!

Thank you very much for my favorite tbs strategy games you created. Also, you are the devs dearest to me, which is a new situation in my life for I usually do not care about devs but the product itself. But your procedure is exceptional, passionate and exemplary resulting always in a unique feel in your creations.

I have an issue with Endless Legend (and Endless Space 2 too). They seem to stutter/lag/drop in FPS on certain events, usually zooming in and out, moving the map or entering/exiting system view. I had this issue with multiple rigs all relatively high-end - currently 1070 GTX. Please look into this issue, because smoothness is very important to the feel in your games I think - together with cleanness, which you achieved perfectly.  (EL also stops screen edge scrolling for a sec when the mouse touches the arrows in the left and righ edge of the scren which makes a clunky feel - do not get me wrong, any civ would be happy to be as cool as EL, incl. civ vi :P).

I also liked the old tech tree more, this could be updated so that it looks like the hero level up screen with the various icons attached to different levels. This design could represent eras and techs in one screen, keeping the unique tech tree of ES1. Also a "search tech" function would be great =)

I would not like to make this thread go into the direction where a hardware is blamed on which all the current games run without issues on ultra settings. i5 and 16 GB RAM just for a side note with and asus rog 1070 8 gb, but the game should not stutter or lag at all even if it would be twice as demanding as it is now. None of my resources are used close to 50%. Latest demanding titles run smooth with even 200% texture resolution.

Same issue for me with those two titles. No matter if I go with the lowest settings. This title should be handled even by a mediocre laptop. Definitely a game optimization issue.

Can confirm this stuttering occurs to my rig as well. Based on my testing, the stuttering occurs if there is an unresolved space battle. The shuttering will lower the frame rate to 60 fps to 50 fps (if I use 1:1 vsync), or from 120 fps to about 80 fps (if I disable vsync and limit the frame rate to 120 fps). I can reproduce the shuttering from 'fastest' to 'fantastic' setting. Once the space battle is resolved, the shuttering disappear. I could also confirm that the issue seems to affect both Nvidia and AMD cards, as I had upgraded my card during the times I had with ES2.

I can attach the save files that I used for testing if the dev requires it.
