Love the game! The increased diversity between factions and play styles is obviously influenced by Endless Legend and I'm a fan. This is what separates Endless games from Civilization. Keep it up.
I don't like how an enemy fleet can sail into my system and instantly start a ground battle even though I have a fleet in orbit. I discovered that the ground battle can be postponed until after the fleet battle is resolved. This results in an instant win ground battle if you wipe out the enemy fleet. I don't mind this is practice... I wish the interface was cleaned up. Maybe, when initiating a ground battle on an enemy system, they have the option to engage your fleet with one of their fleets BEFORE the ground battle (all this in the same window?).
I like the idea of upgrading the systems using luxury resources. Maybe when the market place is implemented this will be easier to perform. Under the current system you end up with lots of luxury resources you have no use for and/or not enough of the resources you select as your development.
How many eras of research will be in the final product? Did I miss the research which allows colonization of gas planets? Comparing to endless legend, the fewer eras and technologies seems balanced. Initially I felt that the slower rate of research would stunt the game, but it doesn't and is necessary to give the sophons the necessary head up over oppenents in science. Overall I like the feel of the truncated tech tree, maybe a few balance tweaks and further development of some of the ideas such as system developments and trading companies.
Can you attack trade routes / trading companies? It would be neat if you could see the actual ships moving between systems and had the option to engage them in combat. I like the idea of trading companies, maybe flesh it out a little. Add something.
Really dislike the forced truce in diplomacy. I read that this will be tweaked. It really disrupts the cravers who need to keep feeding and use the happiness from the at war status ( military law).

Just playing devil's advocate here (And because I enjoy the anarchy), but a perusal of the XMLs reveals 6 Eras at the moment, so they might play around a little and do that.
Just for clarification though, as of right this moment, five eras is the only statement from Amplitude.
