Hello!

Just recently I discovered Endless series and became a big fan. So when I found out that there's ES2 in early access, I didn't hesitate.

I'll mosly talk about my experience in my first game, so please bear with me I just want to give a little feedback on this great game and share it with you all!

The whole session was about 65 turns and it was on Cravers (Basically Necrophages in space, but with more cybernetic parts). At first I didn't think politics and my Dictatorship can play such a big role.  However, a few turns into the game and I started to get more involved. First 20-25 turns were kind of easy, because Cravers have quite an appetite for annihilating stuff. I was against 2 AIs (Sophons and Lumeris), so I started with Lumeris because Sophons were on the other side of galaxy. Problems began after capturing 2 solar systems from Lumeris. Every system had a minor faction in it (if not two), so my political parties gain some diversity.  After every Elections these factions went rebel. I couldn't do anything about that. Changing my dictatorship wasn't in my plans. If I hadn't started gaining military strenght by making ships and devouring AI's solar systems, I'd be in big problems. On turn 55 I had -3 Dust per turn and my research slowed down by a LOT.

Somehow I pulled it off and gain victory by score (and it was on Easy,Fast).

That leads me to a thought. During dictatorship you don't really think about minority as you suppress them with force and make them do manual labor (generally talking). Should Cravers be influenced by all this political mess? I think they shouldn't suffer from this, not so much at least.

About bugs&stuff:

First attempts at starting the game was fun as I couldn't click anywhere after faction trailer. Researches didn't start so did planet's improvements. Fixed by reloading in game.

Clipping textures on Carvers heroes (Only 1 or 2).

Even thought it's Early access, it felt like a quick game in ES1/EL. Can't wait to see more content as there's so much room to improve!

Also the graphics are great even on Medium settings on my laptop (a bit lower than EL), so kudos to Amplitude for making this game available even on low-end PCs/laptops!

Had to write it all, I hope you don't mind my poor English knowledge.

Thanks again for an amazing game! I'm really enjoying it!

In mine opinion dictatorship works like it should. If your course of actions is too far from what your peoples desire you can expect rebells. And even Coup the etat*. Being tyrant arent so easy life. You must be prepared for negative feedback from your peoples.

I'm not 100% sure if i wrote it correctly or didnt made some terrible languinistical error but im talking about peoples who rise against their leader(s) make blopdy revolution that ends his dictatorship/tyranny and usually also that persones life.

The problem is specifically tied to the Cravers for a couple of reasons:

1) Minor races in Dictatorship shouldn't vote, let alone a Craver Dictatorship where they are just food. LOL

The happiness penalties originate mostly from them and is in addition to the Slaver penalty.

2) They are forced to expand and yet they receive the whole penalty for over-expansion. That should either be gone entirely or at least be half of what it is now.

Yes they shouldn't vote but they still should be to some point pain in the a*s of the dictator.

About penalties to over expansion I agree more. It is wrong that they specification forces them to expand put penalises them so hard for doing so.

But there is already a penalty for that. The Slavers penalty.

I don't see why the cattle's thoughts on the elections should add to that.

It's

*coup d'etat

meaning 'stroke of the state'  (I think of it  as 'cutting off the head, (as  in toppling the head of the governing state), for some reason)

and

*linguistic

(a very understandable misspelling)

I am just trying to be helpful, hope you don't mind.
