I have brought the deluxe edition early access but cannot tell from the installed game if I have got any of the benefits of this.
Where would I find this or when will I notice it?

If bought on Steam you can confirm by looking at your purchase history. The deluxe features are not implemented currently in the EA, as far as I know, so no benefits yet.

If you link your profile to your steam account, you'll see that you got the bronze ES2 badge as well as the ES2 Founder badge. That's confirmation enough don't you think?
