I have a question about political parties. Can someone confirm following logic or am I wrong (playing as republic ATM)?

"Boost to party is flat number and helping support of the party multiplies numbers that party would get from voting?"

Also, can I use my bonuses for two different parties at once? I don't get it yet, so sorry for noob question.

Honestly I don't know, and I think that's in part because the system isn't currently working (or working as intended?).  Maybe someone else has a better answer, but to the best of my knowledge population/elections are a little messed up right now.
