Im with you. Lets hope that Vaulters are here. Or even their (and UE) ancestors, Mezari. Thier colours, their gameplay , their love for science and the look of their ships, everything is ideal for me (speaking about Vaulters). There may be a replica using Sophons affinities and UE look but it is not the right thing. We need Vaulters again. We need to guide them back home, to the stars.

Hmm, sometimes I miss the old design too, though the new design is pretty fitting to the industrial-militarist style, too. I mean, it looks just glorious in the prologue trailer.

I think that's intentional. The differences between the "human" factions in game are deliberately accentuated for the purpose of easy differentiation. 

If they all looked the same, it would be pretty boring, not to mention confusing.

They just don't look much like the Mezari from EL at all (except maybe Oleg from the heroes.)

It just would be nice to see a bit more of that influence, but it's not a big deal.

What do you mean?

I don't think anything in the files actually confirmed who was a major faction.  I followed those threads.

There also was a bunch of placeholder names (like 'time lords' likely is)

That is proof that they are in the game, not their status.

It's already posted in various threads that the major factions dug up from the game's files are the UE, Horatio and the new "TimeLords". 

UE was just confirmed today.

That doesn't really prove if they're major or minor but they would be too similar to the UE I think.

I'd prefer only one human major faction myself.   Of the two unannounced majors one is supposed to be a returning one and the other new.   I'd pull for Harmony except their lack of a government at all would really be at odds with ES2's design.

They are coming as well, but as a minor.
