Not sure if the bonus should be applied to the hull designs.

I see both reasons for having the bonus and not having it so will just play with whatever the devs decide on that one.

Pro:

This is a tech like any other so why shouldn't the bonus apply?

Against:
Slowing down access to larger hulls to be the same as other players

  (not exactly as you reach new eras faster so you do get them faster anyway and with the bonus you reduce that by a few turns).

I think its needed for gamebalance, if not its just to easy to rush to the hunterships and own the other races.

Indeed, I have no trouble in having no bonus for some specific techs, like hulls (you gave enough reasons) or faction-specific (which will get always the bonus if no other sophon player).

Just want to know if I'm getting it or not, to plan accordingly.

We indeed decided to not apply bonuses on faction-specifics technologies as they would always be with an optimal bonuses except if you play with more than 1 Sophon faction.
