the game has been completely unplayable for me sence the hotfix it was much more stable before

out of 14 games ive played sence the update all 14 have crashed average around turn 50-60 tho a few made it past 150 but also crashed


saving and reloading the game doesnt work for me still crashes in load


i know your all busy just would like a update if possible. getting any closer to finding the issue? any idea on ballpark for next hotfix?

im pretty sure most devs are winding down for the break - it's not likely we'll recieve another hotfix before january

i am also having some stability issues, myself.


there is a beta branch you can use to revert your game version, i believe

that be awesome if i could roll back before the update anyone know how? at least i could play until next update is out. ya i didnt think we would get anything before jan i was jw lol

I've been playing around with a few of the options, to see if you can entice the game to play a little better.


So far, it seems the fewer opponents you are playing against, the better.

Also, so far, the pattern seems to indicate that the UE is a LARGE part of the issue with the long pending waits.   


I played Sophon against 1 opponent (non-UE), and it played rather well.  One issue with the Ship Hero bug, but I was able to back up a few turns and sidestep that one.

Second attempt was Sophon vs. 2 (one of which was UE), and it went to crap pretty quick.   No combat situations, so doesn't seem to be the Ship Hero issue.  But when I checked, it was running about 34% CPU (I7), and almost 3GB RAM devoted to just the game - that wasn't even loading (had tried the save/exit/reload).


But I agree with OP.   Would be nice to have a Dev update!   As to whether they're trying for another hot-fix, or waiting and putting it all in next major release?

ok so i played 2 games tonight. sof vs cravers and UE vs cravers
both games


small - hard - fast - spiral 2


i turned every setting to low, nodes, events, minor factions


and i was able to play both games fully to 100 turns no crash??!?!?!?!


very interesting...


these are first 2 games ive been able to finish sence the patch


more testing is required... when i wake up :P

Yea, the smaller the map and the fewer the enemies = game gets more stable.

tried twice last night with just 2 opposing factions.  Once with UE, ended up in overly long waits.  Then again, with Vodyani.   Extremely long (infinite?) pending ending turns, and saves would load with same 'infinite' issue.

Oh, and seeing LOTS!!! of errors being thrown.   Screen pops up with varying levels of "OMG!!", and length, of critical error this, serious error that, etc, etc.
