With that said, I think you are in too much of hurry to push updates for ES2 instead of taking the time to get a solid balanced and stable game. I know, its early access, yada yada....I have played many early access games....none with this many bugs.

The bugs are through the roof. I have encountered dozens, many game killing and not simple glitches.

I will wait until the game comes out of Alpha before I play again. I look forward to the final release....I am actually dissapointed this went Early Access.

Take your time, make a complete game.

*Facepalm*

So you went in to Early Access - a system designed to sniff out and fix bugs and see how added content fits - and then complain about the fact there's bugs and a lack of content?

I don't even know how to answer this without sounding like I'm making fun of you.

Where is the like button for single posts?

The goal isn't for you to sniff out bugs, we do have quality assurance people for that - it's more about having a canary in the coal-mine when it comes to gameplay systems. We can rework the tech-tree because things are written in clay right now, not carved in stone.

We're sorry there were a few show-stoppers lately, we'll try to avoid this happening in future updates

I'm aware it's not the end goal, but we're also acutely aware of the fact this isn't the fully-completed project. And that's fine! Now you have a few hundred thousand QA testers on hand, with an entirely gauntlet of hardware configurations. =)

I am speechless with the dedication and the amount of care to the concerns of the community that this company exhibits .

Keep up the good work

i love the EA in ES2 honostly. for me i get the game cheaper. i get to help push ideas that might get put into the game and each big update is like a killer faction DLC XD bugs suck but id rather they get addressed now. then when the game is out and they push away my multiplayer victims XD!

Early access done right, no, seriously. This doesn't feel like a beta test (like most EA) at all, this really feels like a development build , just without a lot of bugs that one would expect. That current bugs that are currently in the game... are basically very minor for the current status, imo. Of course, they need to be fixed by release, but that's not until mid 2017, so I'm pretty sure they'll be done by then. If not, well... "Shame!" *ding* *ding*

This

There's a lot of misinformation out there about the game development process. For instance you'll often see "Pre-alpha footage" watermarks on a gameplay videos with the kind of polish you'd be insane to put in an early prototype, and a lot of final illustrations get labelled "concept art" (actual concepts tend to pretty slap-dash, with only enough detail to get the message across).

Truth is, game development is a messy process. It's great to be able to share our messy process with you folks (though we do try to keep the mess to a minimum on your end) but I understand perfectly those who prefer to wait for a stable release - truth be told that's what I do myself for the games I follow

I myself decided something similar. I usually play a couple of games after an Update and stop playing until the next Update. I don't think this is a bad thing, it's nice to see how the game evolves. I just decided myself that the current bugs are show stopper for me (lack of population management/influencing elections).

I am acutally suprised about the depth. Its an alpha, the game is not intended for grind or you looking for bugs and stuff to improve, which helps the devs.

I really enjoy the interactive progress with the devs and I see the potential for the best round based scifi game to date. The finished product hopfully gonna be quite polished and hopfully wont need an add on to correct mistakes.

Keep in mind that while many other Early Access games seem more polished, "Early Access" is now mostly void of meaning and used as a soft launch window for a more or less finalized product.

Early Access was originally intended (at least in our opinion) to get the game out in front of our community as early as we felt confident it was showing potential. It's the only way we can do right by the community in terms of taking feedback into account and making the changes we feel are needed.

However, if that's not your cup of tea and you'd rather wait, we're absolutely fine with it, and we'll see you in a bit when you come back.

Until then, happy holidays and enjoy your gaming time!

I feel like while there are plenty of bugs, there aren't as many as you make it out to be, deptacon, especially not game-ending ones. And while I personally feel like the early access schedule is a bit tight, obviously Amplitude know what they're doing and should be fine with their schedule.

I understand is incomplete..... its alpha, I understand that. I also recognize the much improved content compared to ES1. My issue us the bugs. Its not a few, its a ton. a metric ton of bugs. I have played many early access games and alphas....the amount of bugs is nauseating. Its one thing to develop and go...thats what alpha is. my point being, I would rather wait longer for updates, then to get updates with so many game killing bugs.

I strongly disagree with your statements. First, the content and stability ratio is pretty good, just in the recent patch I found my firsts game freezing bugs, which is very understandable for an early and honestly impressive being played for more than 2 months. Also, if you played ES1, beside the amount of races, this game have an amazing amount of features that rivals their complete product, on the first update of 3. On regards of why this went EA, I'm really happy to test and balance these mechanics, because (thanks for the players' feedback) devs will change the tech tree, planet grid, and add QoL improvements to Vodjani, that is exactly the point of getting EA.

Even more, they are not in a hurry in the least, since their roadmap they are putting concentrated efforts in very discernibly elements, and taking their time to fix the new problems that have and will inevitably arise from a developing program.

This is obviously not a complete game, but thanks for the pacing, the amount of new elements to test each update, the effort to modify their original ideas by feedback and the open mindset to add new features (just watch the "ideas" section of the page), it is clear that the final product will be on par with their other games (really great games), to say the least.

Finally, balance is the last thing to address in a game, if you see from a numerical view, the stability and impact of the features are pivotal in this stage. And for evident reasons EA players act as testers to ensure the quality and direction on balance changes.

I can understand that you feel this is an incomplete product, because by definition it is, but stating this alpha is in a regrettable state is an statement that I feel is highly debatable by the before mentioned points. I, personally, can't be happier with the game so far
