The UE to me feels very much like the Imperium of Man of WH40k with Inspirations from several of its different Eras.

Both in terms of aesthetics and lore. Especially in regards to the Vostroyans and the eastern European influence.

The Empire seems to blend several different empires from science fiction, including the Imperium from 40k and the Galactic Padishah Empire from Dune.

Yea that I can see there too. The Sheredyn definitely have some Sardaukar influence to them while the power-balance between the noble houses, their Governors and the Emperor is also very familiar.

I absolutely agree about eastern european influence.


For example, two United Empire heroes are Dmitri Lenko and Oleg Lagarin. It is so great cause my own name is Oleg Danylenko. And I am from Ukraine.
