In the 0.2 preview, if you brainwash a minor faction with the Vodjani, you get a small tribute of influence and essence per turn from them. Sometimes the sophons convert those minor faction and get an "allied" status with them (not assimilated), preventing the tribute per turn. I can't find the tech or the way to ally a minor faction, what am I missing?
