I took some time away from paying attention to every news update about Endless Space 2. When I saw the Horatio update today I have to say I was extremely impressed.

I've never participated in a beta here for two reasons: I don't think I would be that helpful for development as an early adopter, and I don't want to burn myself out on the game.

But I have to say that Endless Space 2 looks like it will set a new standard for Space 4X, like I believe Endless Legend has.

I would just like to put this out there as a note of praise for Amplitude Studios. I completely trust the quality of your games, your vision, and your love for the community. I try to convert everyone I know to your games and we all have high hopes for the future.

Thank you.

I just bought the game a week ago or so, am a total nub at it as well, but I have to say I'm really surprised by how fleshed out it feels already. So much content, so many features to explore! Now that there are more victory conditions it's even nicer. My jaw dropped a little when I saw all the things included in the Horatio update.

Good job everyone!

The horatio update even when there are still some bugs and issues here and there has been extremely good its cool to see how the game is shaping up, i just won a game with a science victory and it felt awesome, the fleet battles are beautiful, the scan looks so smooth, the politics are great ( excluding the minor dictadorship issue) and i enjoyed that 190 turns game like i havent in a long time, the fact that the devs put so much effort to this and are so open to community feedback has made amplitude my favorite company i love your work and im so hyped about how the game is going to look into the future right now ES2 is easily a 8/10 for me and its not even complete.

Certainly the developers are doing good work but don't forget the community. Update 2 seems to be a combined effort between them both. And i think the game is better off because of it. I am optimistic about how Endless Space 2 will turn out but I hope both the developers and the community keep pushing hard to improve the game as much as possible.

But yeah, I have already put more than a 100 hours into the game and it isn't even complete yet. It's kind of crazy. And most of those hours were put in when the game was in a much worse state than it is now.

You should look at this game now. You have the opportunity to participate.

Also they give you access to previous builds. Just compare them and you'll appreciate the hard job they did since Update 2 and also how seriously they took the community.

I'm glad to see threads like your, and how it changed from the initial incendiary threads.

Even with people complaining or reporting issues (yes, I did it, probably too much often), they deserve this recognition from community for their hard job.

Whenever I see companies like Electronic Arts that seemingly ruin gaming for the consumers, it is a fresh of breath air that there are devs like Amplitude who don't abuse the Early Access system, who take player feedback to heart, and show integrity in their work by making DLCs that are actually add-ons to the base game rather than segments that feel like they did belong to the base game but were cut off and held hostage across a money-sink chasm. As you can tell, I'm very passionate about these things that are plaguing the gaming industry and I just want to thank Amplitude from the bottom of my heart for trying to stand up against these malpractices. Thank you very much, Amplitude.
