System defences way to week

Taking over systems is way to easy currently.

You never need the specialized manpower modules.


As soon as you have a fleet that has CP 8 or more you can take over any system in a single turn.

No need to to block a system and reduce the systems manpower.


Solutions I would recommend:

1) System manpower based on population with a rate of 50 manpower per population.

This may seam a lot at first but if you think about it this should have the intended effect of enemy fleets blocking systems for a few turns before invading unless they have a huge advantage.


2) More system defenses:

The military tech is missing level 1 technologies as you progress to fast on to next eras.

There should be 2-3 more military defence techs that would provide improvements that

  a) reduce blockade effect on manpower reduction

  b) improve defending manpower (stats or just the number)

  c) canons that would deal some damage to blocking fleet (nothing huge but enough to be noticed).


3) Local resistance defense option power should depend on population size.

The more population you have the more you can mobilize.
