Economic victory too easy for AI

Hi


I have just finished a game on impossible difficulty and the AI lumeris pulled out an economic victory on turn 112.


I got the close to victory warning so I promptly finished my current war and sent my navy but they were on the other side of the galaxy and they got their win.


Considering I even had reached any last quadrant on science I think it is too easy for a lumeris ai to win an economic victory on turn 112

Even for us, it's too easy. I've won an economic victory on turn 94 (with Horatio) in normal.

Yeah the requirements could use a pretty significant bump.


Amplitude's said the current science victory is a fraction of what it'll be in the future (they accelerated it for testing purposes) so maybe that applies to economic as well.

Since the game's balancing is not final, adjusting the Victory conditions is sometimes a bit iffy but we've heard you

I'll take a look into the Economic victory thresholds and parameters in a near future

Another thing that is currently making it easy to accomplish is that the rate at which you can climb the tech tree is currently boosted. This has been stated before, and that it is to let us play around with the techs. It does have the side effect of making your resource generation snowball pretty fast as well, so keep that in mind.

Well right now you have two options change the xml files or turn off econ victory xD

On fast gamespeed you get all the first researches for free as Sophons :P

Well you could do that, but keep in mind for every tec researched the next one will cost 10% more ;), So it might not be the greatest idea.
