The only race I want to return from ES 1 is the Automatons. They were my most played race, and I thought their ships look pretty interesting. They would also fill a spot for an ecologists role. Can I get a yes/no answer to if we will see them return in ES 2?

Of course I'd love them to return. They're my boo when I'm not crying over the Amoeba's being wasted as a Minor Faction.

There's always room for more in expansions, but frankly, I'd rather see new ones.

Because there's a  limited development budget.

Honestly, I don't think we'll see them return, mainly because the Riftborn seem to me like an Automaton/Harmony hybrid. 

I would be pleasantly surprised though if I'm wrong.

Ah, see I'm in the polar opposite camp. Unless there's a in-lore explanation for a new race being added, I'd rather see the story centered around the races we already have, and have it evolve from there.
