So, after playing the Riftborn in a solo and multiplayer game, I've noticed that they have some issues regarding laws. The one's I've noticed being that the tooltip for the Dust Windall, Colony Industrial Law(Forget the name) and Hardship Ready for Ecologist don't show or don't show the details. In addition, Hardship Ready does not appear to work with the Riftborn. I thought that this might have been a bug with all the auto-laws, but when the Pacifists took over my senate I noticed that that law was definitely working, as I had 3 allies, and really felt it when the Industrialists re-took the senate. Anyway, this isn't a bug report.

Onto the findings!

So, in order to test if the Dust Windfall Law was working for the Riftborn, I started a new game and played up until i finished both the Drone Network and Cerebral Network system improvements, to gauge how much dust I received for building them, since the law says that it gives 25% of industry spent back as dust(At least when starting the game as the UE). So, you can imagine my surprise when instead of getting 40 dust each, i got 24! I received 15% of a rebate instead of 25%, that was interesting.

Upon finding this I then started a game up as the United Empire, and with them I received 16 dust! Only 10%! This is especially curious, since not only is the value rebated lower than the stated tooltip, but it varies by faction! I'm unsure if this was intended as a stealth nerf to the Industrialists or is the result of the bug. Just thought others would be interested :)

Hello Klondike,

The difference of 10% / 15% is related to the fact that in one of your game you were in Republic. Republic is enhancing all the laws effects. So the default rule is +10%; and for Republic, it's +15%. We forgot to update the tooltip; I'll fix that!

Cheers,

Oooooohh okay. That's quite interesting. That makes republics look quite attractive huh.

Thanks for the reply :)
