Riftborn planet affinity wrong

Riftborn are supposed to love cold, barren planets, but the initial colonizability is set up for monsoon and boreal worlds, the exact opposite of what they should be. The Riftborn are supposed to hate living things, so they want to settle on barren, frozen rocks and gradually learn how to live on life-bearing worlds. This also greatly effects balance, since riftborn can't do ANYTHING with FOOD and should be colonizing high IND worlds, which again they can't because the affinity is wrong. This seems to be the fault of the tech tree, which is always identical in the science & exploration branch. The initial colonizability and order of unlock should vary with race.

I agree, I thought it was very weird that you can't colonize snowy/arctic planets from the beginning. Especially considering that their starting planet is a snowy planet.

I couldn't agree more!


This is the first thing that came to my mind playing the Riftborn. Lore and gameplay wise, it is a longway from being consistent and enjoyable.

I hope this will be fixed thanks to the Faction specific tech trees that the next update should introduce.
