Interesting similarity between the Scythers and Riftborn

As we can see in the images, both have geometric head shapes, floating body parts connected via some sort of port and the Riftborn occasionally possess wings as part of part of their angelic aesthetic. Does this imply that they borrowed their knowledge of robotics from Scythers inside the wreckage of the Grey Owl or some deeper relationship with the creations of the Endless?

It's rather a similarity between Riftborn and Allayi.

Is it? Because my first thought was the Scythers as well. Not just because they look REALLY similar to one another, but because:

Purpose:

Scyther - Destroy the Guardians, huge titans of Endless manipulation.

Riftborn - Destroy the breach, a hole in reality of Endless technology.

Allayi - Live on Auriga.

Aesthetics:

Scyther - Mechanical flyer with segmented body parts.

Riftborn - Mechanical flyer with segmented body parts.

Allayi - Organic flyer with segmented wings.

Creation:

Scyther - Need to be constructed to exist.

Riftborn - Need to be constructed to exist.

Allayi - Born.

I recognize the original design of the Scythers was supposed to be based on the Allayi (Though I couldn't find the source for that claim), but the Riftborn I would argue are completely based upon the design of the Scythers.

I know that Frog have mentioned somewhere in EL forum that the first Scythers (SPOILER ALERT!) were created with Allayi's souls (END OF SPOILER!). So I suppose that similarity between Riftborn and Scythers is just a coincidence.

^ This. Plus the fact that seemingly unconnected body parts are not new or unique to Endless Universe: Harmony, Silics, Deuyivans, Epistis share this same trait too.

It's an established fact Scythers' appearance attributed to Allayi, as they share direct connection.

So, while i believe this doesn't prove any kind of connection between Riftborn and everyone before mentioned, at the very least, they do share Black-and-White color scheme with Allayi, and to some degree aesthetics of their constructions (Allayi's garths vs Riftborn ships).

I'm returning on this point because a conversation about Gene Hunter brought my attention to how Machine Embodiment is the implantation of a Corozian soul into a Riftborn body.
