Just a quick question: can we allied with a minor faction if another major faction had allied with it? In Update 3 I discovered if a major faction had already allied with a minor faction, it's not possible to another faction to take over that minor faction save using military intervention. Not sure if this behaviour is intended or not.

You cannot ally minor factions, I'm guessing you mean that the minor faction has a better reputation with another Empire, in which case, you can influence them to like you more or invade their system with military power.

Yeah, allied is a short form for 'the minor faction has a better reputation with another Empire', which is more longer to type.

In seems like for some cases it's not possible to increase influence. One that I had identified and had reported as bug is when you have assimilated a minor faction, although it seems like some times I still can't increase the influence even if I had not assimilated any minor factions. Not sure what caused it, although I notice it's usually when there is another competing empire on the same minor faction.

I found a minor faction allied to a different major faction and attempted to influence them.  Spent a ton of influence on it too (but I had plenty, so...), and nothing happened.  I saw a flashing white bar showing how much influence I would gain, but it never improved.

This might be a bug, but I suspect it's more likely the case that if someone has "maxed out" their influence, then all other factions are locked out.
