So, prior to the Riftborn patch, I remember being able to move Populations between systems - an ability that I now seem to have lost. They said on Twitch that we'd be able to move population, but I can't find anything in the techtree that would let me do that. Does anyone know what I need to do, or is that function not implemented this patch?

Moving populations between systems now requires the Colonisation Upgrade 1, which you can access by reaching the third tech tier for Economy (the right/east research tree).

This is something that really needs to be made more transparent - I've been scratching my head trying to look for it, but it's never outright stated in the UI (as far as I can tell, anyway. Stupid, sub-20/20 eyesight...).

I agree. Like a lot of things, this isn't explained in the game or by the UI. Going by trial and error, though, it does seem to be tied to colonisation improvements now.

Yeah, I just tried it, and the ability to move Pop-Units out of the system only became active after I'd upgraded the system. And I couldn't find any indicators anywhere in the game that that was the case.

But again, thanks for the heads-up.
