I have done the research, all of them, but I see no button anywhere. What are the steps and where is it on the UI?

It works like any other system development... you just need to be sure that it meets the requirements for terraformation.

Can you screenshot the button you click to make it happen and circle it please?

Hmm first you get the techs and then at the left of the planetary improvement button you see a circle shaped icon so you click it and it lets you choose which type of planet you want after terraformation let me see if i have a screenshot.

Do you see below the planets that circle shaped icon next to the tool shaped icon well thats the  one you use for terraforming i already terraformed those worlds into forest worlds ( i decided to make every world into a perfect copy of horatio prime and fill them with horatios) so i cant terraform it further.

Having the planet colonized and having the special techs i think, for example you cant terraform a lava planet into an ocean planet first you have to transform it into a desert then into either an arid or Savannah world till you get into ocean thats all of the requireements i can think off.

Are you playing as Vodyani? If so, you can't terraform planets from the system screen I am afraid. You need to go to Economy -> System tab to do so.

Strange.

Personally, the hold-up for me was not realizing you had to colonize the planets before you could terraform them. I found that disappointing because I was hoping to terraform inhabitable planets so I could colonize them.
