I don't really understand how this is calculated. Every time I play against the AI they just get this pressure trend so high, they start spamming me with the tribute request.
Do I have to start pumping out tons of small ships right from the start of the game to be able to do something or what? Also they sometimes get this trend up to -3 in one turn, why?
Yeah, with so much stuff tied to resources, the AI becomes a lot more dangerous due to weird non-combat stuff like Influence spheres, diplomatic pressure, economy, science... just never the real physical application of any of it as military force, which it has nary any concept of.
I believe it is based on your net Influence production vs. their net Influence production.
Which is a joke, considering they have ridiculous bonuses on Endless difficulty, which you can never hope to outproduce
I hate this system because enacting laws decreases your ability to expand your sphere of influence. In my opinion, those should not interfere with each other.
