[1.0.6] Preview - Patch Notes

Hey everyone,


We've just updated the  preview version of  the patch and hope to release it very soon! Thanks again for all your support and feedback.


How to access this 1.0.6 version:

  • Right click on the game in your Steam Library
  • Go to the "Betas" tab
  • Select the Preview - 1.0.6 version in the drown-down list
  • If you use an older AMD card, select AMDpreview -1.0.6

[IA]

  • Fixed: Map Sharing correction (evaluation)
  • Fixed: handling of rare resources
  • Fixed: loop in AI behavior when idle
  • Fixed: allocation of influence
  • Fixed all costs of diplomatic terms for AI
  • Fixed:  Tweaked transitions duration so AI asks for map sharing less often and can ask for peace more often
  • Fixed: Shipdesign costs for AI
  • Improved AI colonization behavior
  • Increased AI aggressiveness
  • Better evaluation of trade agreement terms


[PERFORMANCE]

  • The technology helper is now active only for human players.


[FIXES]

  • Fixed an issue where political events of global, Academy and Academy - Finale quests had missing GUI elements.
  • Fixed a broken save issue due to migrations (reported here)


[VISUAL]

  • More nebulae and stellar winds in Galaxy Spiral 8


We also made a lot of improvements on the multiplayer. Several desync causes have been fixed, especially on these topics:


-    Vision Visibility

-    Fog of war

-    Fleet movements

-    Probes

-    Systems revealed by quests

-    VisionSharing & MapSharing (diplomacy term)

Nice work as always! Is this the whole content of the patch or will the official 1.0.6 have more fixes?

Yeah, it's weird. On turn 91, I got the infinite battle screen. So I reloaded, got it again. Went to earlier saves and all of a sudden was getting it there and also unable to move forward when I clicked end turn. This is what the diagnostic log says for me after I click the begin battle..

I can also confirm it didn't fix my save game. I can avoid starting any combat and end the turn, the I can't resolve combat in the following turn either.

Overcolonization Penalty is over four times as much as it was in the 0.3.7 Riftborn build on some/poss all maps.  A Dense Medium map supposedly can have nearly -500 overcolonization approval penalties near to solo conquest (if you could get past the tedium/micro to achieve it) without using the Religious content/Happy law and assuming there is near that amount of positive approval in the game.

Can we get a balance fix please within next patch or two, thanks.  e.g. lowering it from -10 to -5 or -3 would be a start.  Some extra system overcolonization techs are likely needed also/or better balanced.  (I think one patch may have added +2 to each map size it's not enough EDIT it didn't I using a Federation that game and was mistaken)

Hey I'm just wondering when you plan on fixing the approval bonus for science and dust?  It's a major hang up for me at the moment.

Same with me... switched to 1.0.6 preview after I (once again) had to stop a game early (70 ish) because the "Pending - In Encounter" bug. Didn't fix the save game.

Not in the mood to start a new game just now... seems to happen every 2 out of 3 games for me. :(

We had a pending on pirate attack bug in our game. We simple let the turn timer end and it processed the battle. But the out of synch was not a major issue (we had one out of synch when we waited for a player 10+ min and had changed the timer settings but reloading the game and everything went fine. Game lasted 80 turns with economy victory on normal speed and 4 human players.)
