So, I've played a few games on Hard, and I fine that the Economic Victory is way too easy to achieve, and almost impossible to actively stop.
I think that the idea of an Economic Victory should mean that you can outproduce any other empire in the game, and as such I think that a better goal should be that you could generate over a set % of the Dust/Turn. To keep it from being a near instant win in the early game, maybe tie the trigger to the 3rd stage of the Economic(? forgot the name) research quadrant.
Economic Victory definitely can't stay as it currently is. It's boring and favours the AI too much, especially on harder difficulties where it has insanse FIDS bonuses.
One thought I had is that maybe it could at least partially involve you buying out and owning all the trading companies in the game. Something akin to how you win in Offworld Trading Company.
