I love your game Amplitude!

Except that 1 time our 8 man multiplayer autosaves broke, all of them, for everyone.

Yes Trump has been quite a disaster.  Some replies from the my FrogSpicer Steam post:

Star Paladin said:

If Frogsquadron was like the White House, he would have to:

*Call ALL negative reviews and bug reports as "Fake News"

*Try to repeal the refund policy on Steam

*Build a fire'wall to keep out the illegal modders (which will be paid for by Microsoft)

*Remove Virus Protection and consider bugs and imbalances pre-existing conditions

*Call negative gaming site reviews a "witch hunt", while he fires the head of Gamespot

*Blame console users for all the problems ES2 has

*Starts the ONLY non-fake game review site call "Frogs and Friends", who always give his games 5 star reviews

*Calls the bug reports "alternative facts"

Onyx Carp said:

*Introduce a Trump card that overrules all other battle cards

To which I replied:

Trumps Cards could also be used as political actions, you could:

- Insult someone in your alliance who was just recently attacked by a mutual enemy
- Rudely push an ally aside for a better photo op
- Post random words on social media to confuse both allies and enemies
- Constantly contradict your faction's political stances
- Accuse an ally of being an enemy, then sell them your ships
- Explain you are "new to this" when allies accuse you of inappropriate actions
- Give dust tax cuts to 1% of your planets

Most of these could provide a nice initial Bonus but then hit you with a heavy Malus soon after

The game is a work-in-progress, but hardly comparable to the catastrophe that is the Trump administration.

I've been enjoying multiplayer galactic conquest with few real hang-ups.

Well if we all can't laugh at ourselves and try to improve then there is no point to living!

It was a great chuckle, I enjoyed it.  I think we all needed it.

It is really hard to take criticisms that's for sure but once they sink in we are better for it!

I have logged over 400 hours on this game so far, so I obviously like it! Keep those patches coming and hopefully each patch I find less bugs. Together, we will reach perfection. That is what a community is all about!

So if you don't mind, I'll just uh...

I just love your game, and your universe. I just get my interest for 4x games for you, with endless space. I admire your work and your effort beside all the comments and problems. Just want to say thank you for this awesome game, and when you release a new game, ill be there, ready to get the early access :)

I love this game, too. :)

And I don’t experience it this way as shown in the picture by OP. Sure, there are questions asked but not over and over and over again. At least in my experience, I feel as that we actually get answers and the communication between Studio and Users goes both ways.

Just think about other Studios where it isn’t this way.

Btw, the patch fixed a lot already. MP dsyncs f.e. went down from every 2-3 turns and now we’ve played 20 and more turns without a problem. That’s some progress!

This game is like wine and gets better and better. We – as a community – get regular updates and I feel that the issues are addressed properly by priority. I’ve seen too many examples where the Studio prioritized whatever senseless points on whoevers list and didn’t listen to the community at all. Sure, when you’re big and have the userbase you can address things differently – but at what cost…

Everything speaks for this Studio here.

You guys are doing an amazing job and I hope you'll continue to do so in the future!

kind regards

He has to repeatedly defend ES2 even though it is clearly a flawed product.  The constant complaints and his replies remind me of the White House press briefings and Sean Spicer's answers.  So I thought I would make this parody.

I am not trying to stick it to Frog, I hope he gets a laugh out of this too.  Hopefully all the complainers and haters can chuckle and give Amplitude time and let them focus on fixing the issues.

The difference between Frogsquadran and Sean Spicer, is that Frogsquadran manages a project that brings a measure of joy to people and who also has credibility in his statements. Sean Spicer is a stooge who serves as the windpipe for a gaggle of blithering idiots intent on destroying people's lives for the benefit of the immesely wealthy.

100+ hours here, and having a lot of fun.
Sure, there are quite a lot of bugs, but I mean, that is not the first game in this situation.
Making a PC game (which means that there are tons of different specs) with several programmers who may work on different pieces of code at different times... Is difficult.

Devs are very kind and answer regularly, and I don't want them to stop caring because impatient players keep spitting on them while they are trying to fix everything.

despite some hiccups here and there (sure, maybe some mayor ones) I´m 160 hrs+ in and having a great time...

if that here should be some kind of "motivational thread" you get a thumbs up from me...

just tell the programmers, that they´re wizards... and Amplitude is on the right track... (imho)
