I decided to go ahead and put them to the vote in the "Ideas lobby"  so here is a list of 8 simple ideas that I think could improve the game.

1) Population Management should be moved to the Systems Management screen with some enhancements.

2) Game  Rate slider is divided up into 4 individual areas, economy, research,  production, and trade. This allows for maximum gameplay customization for individuals needs.

3) Some simple Hero Ships upgrades to improve durability in the Late game.

4) To add some immersion for the heroes I would like to have the Devs add a ranking system.
