So I'm sure some people other than me have noticed that when in space combat slugs travel faster than lasers. What gives? Is the speed of light different in the Endless Universe? Did The Endless change it as a prank before they disappeared? I mean what are we to believe this is some sort of a magic slow laser or something? Literally unplayable.
I don't know of many sci-fi games, tv shows or movies that accurately depict lasers in battle so if you can watch star wars X-Wings and Tie-Fighters duke it out with those red and green lighted tubes, ES2 isn't that far out to sea.
Not sure if you're serious or not with the "literally unplayable" at the end...but it is funny either way.
It isn't pure light. These lasers are plasma actually. Plasma is hot gas so it may be slower than kinetics. Even in space. Beam is actually concentrated light and it is faster than slugs.
Why are there sounds in space? Realistically the space battles ought to be completely mute. Also, while I'm tormenting you, I might as well point out something kind of horrifying about all your missed shots. Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest son of a ***** in space.
I say just roll with it. Rule of cool and all that.
