What would be your suggestion for a more competitive Horatio faction?

I found that Horatio is really a late game monster, when going pure ecologist terraforming everyting into tier 0 planets with Super Biofuel factories (Chlorophyll Chemistry).

I think a small early game buff might top Horatio over to a very competitive faction.

There's always a few of us lurking on the forums apart from Frog, and we do read most of the posts - we don't always reply because either we're too short on time, or we don't have an immediate answer.

Really love the series, best in-depth guides I've seen, it's very good to listen to you explain. I've been following the head to head with huge interest and couldn't help but imagine how fun it would be to watch a game between you guys and other top players of the game!

Your understanding of shields is actually very different from mine, and considering we never got much combat detail its worth discussing.

You implied that shields add 120 "health" to absorb projective but gave 11% energy reduction to all attacks.

I am under the impression that their 11% energy reduction subtracts from the 120. So once the 120 is exhausted, shields provide no bonus.

Meanwhile hull plating works until you run out of health.
