I always had a lot of fun finding ship modules that are not available on the tech tree from Curiosities. However, after the Target Locked update, I started a new game and I haven't found any at all, despite having explored over 50% of the galaxy and unlocking the ability to explore level 4 Curiosities.

At least in 1.0.53 [preview] it still is. Found a shield module last night.

And I found one in 1.0.47

Normally, this should still be working (unless there's a bug), we haven't deleted the modules from the pool of possibilites. Random can be a harsh mistress though :)

Oh thanks. Now I will always hear a whipping sound in my head whenever a curiosity survey fails :)

Same here. In my game this weekend, I found enough modules that I actually skipped researching some of the military techs.

I played yesterday, large map as Horatio, and I received a ton of them, didn't research bunch of military due to it. (favored beam weapons and shields)
