I don't know how this crossed my mind, but I wondered today: what kind of music do the factions in Endless Space 2 listen to?

For example it's already been revealed that the Lumeris enjoy theater as national past time, I'd imagine that they have a strong liking in classical instruments or swing-like music (because of their epicurean nature). Or United Empire! Do they mostly listen to super patriotic choir songs? Is there an underground scene in Raia where they listen something not-so patriotic stuff?

What about Horatio? You'd imagine that they'd be fans of flauntingly decorated opera halls or something of similiar fashion.

Or Sophons? We already have a picture of that one improvement in that certain Sophon quest where there's a band playing instruments.

UE would seem to me to be into patriotic heavy metal.  Although head banging in those armour suits, as Sherydon, might be difficult!  Maybe they head bang inside them?

Sophons might like electronic music, the higher tech the better!

The Unfallen would like really slow stuff, getting slower as they age!

Horatio, now they would like anything that shows them off to good advantage.  So they would always be up to date, with the "in" crowd.

Yeah! Like one of those really minimalist ambient tracks.

I can imagine Sophons selling high-tech audio systems to other empires.

Whenever i try to put a link between music and sophons, i can only think of the star wars cantina music

I think that the Sophons in the picture related to the Culture Jam Centers, or whatever that certain improvement is called, is a subtle nod to Star Wars from Amplitude.

United Empires

Pretty much yeah! Altough I think that there might be an underground rave/electro/metal scene judging from the UE loading screen. There are people who scavenge for scraps so it implies a cyberpunk-ish culture withing the empire.

I can imagine an eerie version of that, playing in the giant Craver hive halls

Serious haloween music?  Or maybe they celebrate it every week!

Something broken up for the riftborn... maybe Benjamin Britten with long pauses!

I don't know, reading about "patriotic metal", I'd think people on Raia would be into Sabaton.

Maybe I'm saying this because Aurel, who designed them, is really into that band? Or maybe because I'm a fan myself... :D

Sabaton is awesome! I can only imagine how the UE shocktroops would paradrop on a Craver infested territory with Sabaton-esque music playing as they descend.

I can imagine for Vodyani it might be similar to their theme, kinda futuristic church choir. Other might be similar to latin choir songs that praises God or Jesus in Christianity but for Vodyani it's about the Virtuals.

That would be the logical choice of music for them. I do wonder if they have huge organs inside their churches! Dust enchanced of course :D
